The Global Green is a colourful pop-up eco-village of green ideas, merriment, inspiration and action where you’ll find activists, artists, makers, musicians, foodies and poets from across Ireland hosting transformational ideas, activities and conversations for all generations.
We were extremely excited to announce that Precious Plastic Dublin will be part of this year’s Global Green at the Electric Picnic, where you can find us together with our dear friends from the Zero Waste Festival Ireland. Just look out for our colorful sign made from recycled plastic.
Are you sick of plastic and pathetic single-use tents? At the Wasteland area of Global Green you can chat with two of our volunteers, Celia and Jan, about the Precious Plastic movement and how you can become part of the solution to plastic pollution and our recycling crisis. This area also offers ways to help prevent plastic pollution and introduces creative approaches to upcycling and reuse. Photographer Annie Holland will be highlighting plastic waste with her colourful headdresses, come and have your picture taken in the photo booth.
